This month the Committee organised a first aid course, with the very capable Zoe of Mansons First Aid.  Burgage staff members attended together with The Post Office and Red Lion employees.   There was a full day of both practical and theory instruction.  From how to treat wounds to how to administer CPR and use an AED and everything in between.  I hope we wont need it but it is good to know we have people who can administer emergency first aid in the village.

The winter weather had arrived but it hasn’t stopped the weekly housekeeping jobs on the common, lots more chip has been put on the paths and there is always some tidying up to do.

As Christmas is  approaching just a reminder that the beacon will be lit once again on Christmas Eve, perfectly positioned atop of Bracken Hill, it can be viewed from the Golf Course or the car park.  Please keep your distance, we are encouraging viewing from afar this year.
