The Bluebells looked resplendent this month in our newly-cleared woodland.
This stunning piece of driftwood was washed up on Alnmouth beach in April 2020. We couldn’t resist rescuing her from being washed back into the sea. Today, she has been placed on the edge of the Pond in our newly cleared Woodland, for all to enjoy.
Thanks to volunteers from the village, we have been able to spend considerable time this month preparing for the opening of the beach car park, as soon as it’s deemed safe to do so. It’s been a great team effort and a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Alnmouth community spirit.
Work has started on the Common to tidy it up for Spring. Overgrown pathways are being strimmed and overhanging branches trimmed with some of the brash being used for wildlife habitat.
